I kind of like it, not necessarily more than an rz2 or x-45, but it looks ok and I personally like the windshield. It reminds me of some of the older wooden skiffs. The tower is kind of neat, but I don't like it nearly as much as the new tige/metcraft tower. I'm interested to see it at a show, maybe the Miami show in Feb. I also want to see the MC 300 at the Miami show, lots of pictures to be taken if those two boats are there for sure. My big issue is the "saltwater" worthiness of the bu's, they just aren't. There is too much hardware, even compared to my '05 tige, that just does not hold up in the salt environment.

Actually I don't like it. The only thing that looks good is from the windshield forward. I think boats got too blinged out the last 4 years so I do like the concept of it.

But I have a feeling it will throw an awesome wake and that is one of the most important things to me.

Don't get me wrong, I am staying in my LSV, I love it.

The big thing that bothers me is the fact that the cockpit is pretty far back in the boat. What happens is you end up with even more weight in the rear of a V-Drive, which isn't good for wakeboarding. I don't like the MC X-Star for this exact same reason. That is one of the reasons I liked the Tige RZ2. Most pickleforks cause the manufacturer to push the cockpit further back. Tige's unique in that you get the room of a more traditional V-drive, which helps balance the boat better. Plus you have tons of room in the cockpit.

Now, I do like the reversable rear bench. That's one thing that the SANs have that I really like: lots of rear facing seating options.

I doubt Bu would create an entirely new company with a different target market just to introduce a pickle fork. Why not just create a new model instead of the Wakesetter.

Yea. they must be coping Mastercraft or on this idea. Why not since TIGE copied the mastercraft and Malibu. But if you ask the BU guys they have new innovation with in Malibu on this There is no copying taking place here.

Well the Wake can't be commented on yet.... so I'm reserving judgement on that part.

The thing that I noticed is the 1 single tracking fin!!!!!!!!! This worries me a bit under alot of ballast... but I'm not a boat builder, so maybe there's no cause for concern.

They took the interior straight from Skiers Choice. I had that flip around rear seat on my '03 Moomba, and my neighbor had the walkthru cushion on his Supra. The rear looks like a Gekko, and the bow looks like a Sunesta (sp?) Only thing resembling Malibu is the crapper hatch on the platform and the manual wedge.

The windshield is ugly, and the tower looks like it will snap!

Doesn't look like there is much room for you to walk around and what not.

I don't think MC has tracking fins on any of their wakeboarding boats. My X-45 does not, the X-35 I demo'd doesn't either. X-star does not either.

One tracking fin won't be an issue. Just as Tall said, there are many boats out there without them. There are a lot of other things that have a larger impact on a boat getting pulled around. Tower height being one and the hull being the other a ConvexV hull is a lot easier to pull side to side than others. Same with a narrow hull. This is one of the reasons a CC and Tige wake always washed out on the opposite side of the cutting rider.

A big boarding taking a hard cut, sound like a good recipe for fun.

Wow, I thought that was always the way to keep the boat from being pulled a lot. I mean I realize there are other factors, but I thought that was the main one. Interesting.

I guess it's a cheap boat for a cheaper person, but I agree with whoever said that the boat this is being marketed to is the hardest hit right now by the economy. Will be interesting.

Tracking fins on the Tiges are an artifact of waterskiing. In fact, on most pure ski boats, the tracking fins are right at the pylon. 3 is probably overkill for a V-Drive. Although, I like having them.

The Z1 has two tracking fins from what I remember in pictures.
