It's hilarious to go back and read this thread. 5 years later and axis is still going. We compared the A22 and the RZ2. Based on our location and dealer MSRP the A22, equipped similarly to the RZ2, was over 20% less. While it's not "CHEAP" it is a deal compared to any similar boat. Flame suit on

To be fare you would have to compare the RZ2 too a Malibu with same options , or compare the Axis to a Moomba.

I would tend to agree. most that are shopping axis are not shopping tige. in your market, it would be moomba, mb and should be supreme but dennis dillon is too spensive.

I have to disagree Dom, the Tige I was introduced to and the reason I bought the boat was to get an inboard with descent all around performance at a much lower price than MC, Bu or Nautique. This was from a family that had 3 Tiges, their newest was a 2006 when I bought mine in 2010. I think the axis line was built to compete with Tige (and Momba) but Tige increased the bells and whistles (and price) so they are now closer in price to Bu. You've been selling them longer than I've know the brand but the Tige that I was introduced to and sold on is not the Tige today. Seems to me they are pricing the traditional past Tige owners out of a Tige and into an Axis or Moomba. Tige is not as "value oriented" as they once were, and that is why they get so much grief on this site for being so expensive.

Perhaps you misunderstood my point. I wasn't trying to say Axis has the same build quality or the same options. I was speaking more to the affordability and the budget boat concept. I would love to be in a brand new Tige RZ2 but the fact is we simply could not afford one.
