    Snow Day!

The weatherman said we would not have any accumulation on the ground. The kids (RJ and the little ones) are outside making a snow fort, while shoveling the driveway.

In the first picture, you can see the top of my wife's jeep, about 1 ft. The front lawn, is covered by trees, so only a few inches.

I am actually just above paradise in Magalia, at about 2600 ft. But yes, we need the lake to fill up.

We had 4 inches of rain in Grass Valley yesterday, the high Sierra's has dropped about 12 inches of snow and we are expected to get another 12 inches of snow in the next 24 hours. Bring on the snow... We definitely could us it.

I remember building tunnels and caves in the snow when I was at my ex-father-in-laws house about 2 years ago. The kids love to do it but I am always checking up on them to make sure that it doesn't collapse.

Y, the pictures I took are from my office window, I have the blinds up and am keeping an eye. Normally I keep the blinds closed.

Our snow might be going to the north of us, just have to wait and see.

X5 on we need snow for skiing (snow skiing in the winter, water skiing in the spring, summer, fall)

The girl friends parents live just north of Colfax and they had a good 8" this morning to shovel. Hope we get some more tonight.

Poor RJ. He made the mistake this morning of talking back to his mother within earshot of me, when the driveway needed to be shoveled. Only Jesse has the compassion to try to stay out there and help him.

                        RJ is taking a break.

Right after that last picture, the tree above jesse dumped a bunch of snow on her and she threw the shovel and went in the snow cave. Looks like RJ is back to it himself.

Looks warm at least! We got 4" of snow early Sun AM and then it dropped to -19 last night! It's only 9 right now!
