What is the diffrence between the Switch CI and the Switch I

As far as I can tell it’s just the open bow, but Water Ski 2005 boat review gives the CI a "hard core ski" rating, and the I a "multi sport" rating. I'm looking for the hard core ski rating with the open bow. What is the difference between the two that they got two different ratings?? Aren’t they the same hull??
    Thanks

The only difference between the Switch ci and the Switch i is the open bow on the Switch i. They both have the same hull. WaterSki Magazine arbitrarily assigned ratings to each boat. The Switch i got the Multi-Sport rating because of the versatiity that the open bow can provide (i.e. more people, wakeboarding friendly set up).

The Switch i has wonderful skiing performance. TeamTige pro skier Chris Rossi trains behind the Switch i and uses it at his ski school.

The Switch I is also multi-sport because you can put a tower on it & it makes a very good wakeboard boat. The wake for skiing is great.

I bought a Switch I last July with a Samson Tower. Put almost 75hrs on it. My brother-in-law is a core slalom, I'm all wakeboard. He's skii'd behind Mastercraft, Supra and Centurion and pegs my Multi-sport wake as better than the others. It's great to kick up a huge wake if needed.
