Yeah, I had, somewhere, the 07 production stats, and I done think MC even made 4500 in 07, so I find it hard to believe that they have 4500 left in dealer inventory for 08. The new numbers should be out soon, need to see if I can find a copy of the boating industry mag

A 3 second google search revealed that MC made 2600 boats in 2006. That was quoted in an MC press release. I hardly doubt that they doubled production so that there are 4500 2008's laying around.

Maybe you should let us in on your sources.

Well I bet he(jake) won't be back to this thread, every time he gets called out he disappears for a few weeks, them BAM, back with another line...you know, he's so busy making soooo much money right now. Maybe 4500 were made, but not every 2008 is sitting on a dealers lot, I know of a few off the top of my head just in our area that are actually on the water

I don’t know the 08 MC numbers? But I would say if they made 3200 in 07 and did not change their manufacturing plant to increase the numbers? I would say it is something less than 3200 the only thing that would increase the numbers would be custom ordered boats, and I don’t think that happened?? So if it do the math………………………………. Hold on I need to carry the 1 and add the 0 …………. Ok I got it ……….= (jake) is full of CHIT…………………..

So, am in understanding correctly that MC makes boats that are NOT ordered by a dealer or customer? I believe CC and Bu do/did, and it leads to flooded market and cookie-cutter inventory on dealers lots

                    ^^^

My dealer did that with their Tige's. As of today, the still have a big inventory of 2007/2008 boats that they are having a hard time selling. Which also made it harder to sell my 24Ve in this area.

Yes, but the boat wasnt built til your dealer spec'd it out and placed the order. So, if your dealer lacked imagination, then the product gets bland and everyone on the lake has the same thing

Well, that is definitely not a concern there. They have made a lot of nice looking Tige's. There isn't a need for boats right now in CA.

MC dose “cookie-cutter inventory on dealer’s lots” along with 6/8 week customer orders the dealers has a number of boats they need to sale each year …. At the beginning of the year the dealer would like you to order a boat from the factory, it is just pass through paper work for the dealer, and the end of the year they push you to buy one off the lot

It's been 2 weeks, I've made a bunch of money and I'm back (again). Checked the mirror and my eyes are still blue.......so no chit over here. Did everyone have a Merry Christmas?
