Awesom boat! That has one of the best surf wakes out there. There is a guy in the Phoenix area that has an all white X-45 and he has the surf wake dialed in.

Sounds like you got a smoking deal on it! What engine does it have in it?

And when are we meeting up at Powell? I have a purchase contract on my desk for a houseboat for the second week of September.

            Congrats Tall!

That is a very nice looking boat! I wish you and your family many good memories in your new X-45.

Thank you all for the kind words.

Compared to the one in Southern Cal, this one is a year older, but has a brand new engine with 3 year warranty. I think the new engine wins big points. Plus the dealer has given me a 30 day bow to stern warranty from the day I start using it. I want to get out in it ASAP, but would also like to get plenty of hours in the first 30 days to make sure it all is in good working order. Couldn't have gotten that from the boat that was in So Cal.

The MC tower speakers are surprisingly high quality. They have one amp in the boat to run 4 interior speakers, a sub and 4 tower speakers. Interesting...I am anxious to figure the details on that. It sounds good.

I can't beleive that people actually use the fader on the deck to control tower vs. interior...the 420 will be the first thing to go in.

I am still good to head the Fall reunion if you guys are good to come. I think the last weekend of September is the sweet spot. The water is still warm, but the air is not scorching any more. Give me some feedback on that.

I won't consider a name change for a while yet. If the boat underperforms, it will be on the auction block this summer and I will be grovelling back to Tige to sell me a boat.
It has a trim tab. So it is a poor man's TAPS.

              Turbo, sign that contract!

For reasons I do not fully understand, the 8.1 is a huge upgrade. The dealer says that when they order a boat new, the 8.1 L is more than 10K higher for the dealer, and that is what I see in NADA as well. My eyes fell out of my head when I saw that NADA gives the boat something like an 11K upgrade for the 450 HP engine.

I am sure you looked around and got the best deal that you could find. Tige's pricing has taken them out of a lot of potential sales since their new boats are price much higher than the previous years.
Nice to know a guy can hang around if he no longer owns a Tige.

However, we are trying to get rid of one that has a tige and continues to reappear when asked to leave.

Congrats on the new boat. That is a lot of boat. I don't expect we'll see many pictures of it on the water though, probably more of it in the shop. lol Just kidding. On a serious note, that is one sweet boat.

Looks good to me. Looks like your patience paid off. You will be the most popular guy at the Fall Reunion. Every body will want a pull to compare. Much like Turbonine was in his Malibu. Thanks for the picture and sharing the story.
