Ask GMAN or G-Money,
They will chime in.
I towed about 3000 lbs from Criag CO to Norman OK average speed 80mph and average MPG was 17. U really can't beat that.Last edited by G-MONEY; 12-10-2008, 12:00 AM.Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. I've got an 08 Unlimited and pull our boat all over Michigan with it. Total package is about 4000lbs. It's a little over the rated weight and I'm glad for disc breaks. It doesn't get to speed too quick. But once you get the hang of it, it handles the hills ok. We get about 14 mpg loaded. It's a great vehicle. We love to drive it.Indecision may or may not be my problem

One of my employee's used his father in law's Jeep just like the one you posted the pic of to tow his 18.5 Searay which is no where near as heavy as your tige' and he said it struggled terribly, no power, constantly downshifting, not a very comfortable tow. He dumped the idea of borrowing the in laws Jeep and bought a used 2WD F-150 and says that does a great job.
As far as the H3T, I looked at one on a car carrier that was at our dealership dropping off cars, it was new I had never seen one, so I wanted to check it out, nice little truck, gas mileage on the sticker was very bad, 12c & 15hwy, very low numbers for such a small truck, and consider that isn't towing anything. I would look at the full size trucks, bigger more power, more room, better fuel economy, and not much more $$$$$ than the H3T. Pretty good deals on Chevy's and GMC's right now, considering GM's current situation.I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!
