I have the pcm Excalibur 5.7 330hp in my 05 24V. It is a great motor. Quiter than the other inobards I've been in, BU, MC and Moomba. I have been very happy with this motor, real tourqie and my top end is 43 up at 5,000 ft + of elevation. My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

MP known more for their ocean marine engines IMO.

The are only a few tiges with PMC's before the change, of course you aren't going to hear of as many people having problems with them Vs the MP.Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour.
