I have the pcm Excalibur 5.7 330hp in my 05 24V. It is a great motor. Quiter than the other inobards I've been in, BU, MC and Moomba. I have been very happy with this motor, real tourqie and my top end is 43 up at 5,000 ft + of elevation.

I had no idea Tige used to use them some. Thanks to this board now I know. I agree the PCM is Quieter and an overall better known brand than the MP

My 2005 24V has a PCM Z06 385 HP engine. It is a great engine. I love it.

Okay, I am not bashing PCM nor do I want to either. I am sure PCM has a much quieter engine than MP but both my MP engines are running great and have never had a problem with them.

MP known more for their ocean marine engines IMO.

I think PCM has been around the tow boat industry longer and they have fine tuned it. From my experience which is not to much it seems that guys with the PCM have a lot fewer issues is all than guys with the MP. Not that MP is bad they just have a few different ways of going about there options and selection on there engines versus PCM. I think PCM tend to select a little higher quality options on there engines. This is just my opinion.

The are only a few tiges with PMC's before the change, of course you aren't going to hear of as many people having problems with them Vs the MP.
