    Yeah thats about right.

    Frederick A. Henderson -- March 30, 2009 - December 1, 2009

Although Whitacre has become the whipping boy by default.

Im sure our government will find someone highly capable of running GM......(into the ground)

The new one's are much smoother than the old ones...more refined. Which is actually a good thing. He has a Z06 and a CTS-V...maybe a long lost brother of yours...

Just wondering but didn't you just say that are behind what the consumer wants?

I think all of GMs new cars are stunning. The new, cts, camaro, lacross, equinox(32 MPG!), and srx. Plus their cars that are coming out in the near future.

IMO Toyotas great days are behind them. Chrysler is dead. Ford and GM return to battling it out for the top spot.

Yes I did. I think GM has a few cars that consumers want, but not caught up on the times.

You think Toyota is dead? really? I'd like to hear your reasoning.....

It looks like Toyota is coming out with some competition for the OnStar. I guess I should have done a little searching after I got my idea and before posting.

It seems kind of silly to have to come out with something new when a current network is already in place? If Toyota is currently #2, think of all the potential subscribers GM is missing out on?

I didn't say Toyota is dead, I said Chrysler is, and Toyotas best days are behind it. There was an article on the net a while back, can't track it down, with Toyodas grandson saying out of the 5 steps of failure they are on number 4. Which is evident that Toyota is in dire financial distress also, to bad this news story didn't make the lead story on the evening news(http://www.businessweek.com/globalbi...n_id=rss_daily)
Besides that, if you open up an automotive news in the year you'd see multiple stories. Ex-internal lawyers suing Toyota for shredding documents that contained knowledge of product defects that are now in recall ("sticking" accelerator", rusty frame,). The extremely bad press that came from the death of an off duty LA police officer and his family when their lexus's accelerator got stuck, launching them off a bridge. Plus their fall off in quality in general compared to what they used to be. Furthermore, in the boom of almost 18 million cars sold per year, they have greatly over extended. Finally, any one can see that the media love affair with Toyota is coming to and end and a new media love is with Ford. Not saying that what Ford is doing is bad, I think Mually is amazing and Ford will do great, but some times you need to look a little deeper than what "everyone says".

And a little more relevant info from todays edition from the wall street journal. Toyota now says that the accelerator becoming "stuck" under the floor mat may not be caused by the floor mat at all. From what i've headr from Toyota/Lexus owners that have had this happen to them, they have all told me that the floor mat has nothing to with the problem.

Dont think Toyota is going anywhere soon. Their vehicles are ranked #1, #4, #5. They will always make reliable cars. It has more to do with the Japanese philosophy during production.
