Pimped My Tige --Thanks to All

This past July I had the pleasure not only of attending the NorCal Tige Owners reunion, but also of winning an Arc Audio amplifier AND the Grand Prize, a Pimping of my Tige -- a 2002 2000V Limited.

The event itself, NorCal Tige Reunion, was great fun with a bevy of professional riders riding a monster rail, great people and a wonderful location and hosts at Rollins Lake, and killer raffle prizes donated by the who's who of manufacturers and vendors for the benefit of children's cancer research. Thanks, Tigeblue for pulling it all together!

Chris at Capital Watersports coordinated the pimping. He hooked me up with Tom at Lightning Wakeboard Towers and Accessories to replace the functional but dated OEM Metcraft tower for a custom fit beauty.

I left home a'ready for a good pimping.

Life is not without its travails, however, but neither is life without its good fortunes. As I approached Capital Watersports ("CWS") on the freeway I blew a trailer tire.

After limping along the shoulder to their frontage the guys at CWS passed me a wrench over the fence to remove the wheel.

Lightning was close by, so I deposited the boat with them sans wheel to build up the new tower. But, first, here's what we were replacing.

Tom at Lightning and his crew built me a killer tower and also hooked me up with some speakers that do the Arc Audio amplifier proud. Chris and Pat at CWS fixed up the gelcoat from the old tower mounts.

Thanks to other commitments we finally got the 2000V Limited out on the water TODAY, November 30, for the maiden voyage with the new tower, amp and speakers. Of course, for a fitting maiden voyage we put in at Rollins Lake as you can see above, the site of the Reunion.

The water was a bit colder on November 30 at 52 degrees than we'd seen in July. The air temperature was in the low sixties.

Evan, who spent the morning snowboarding at Boreal on Donner Summit, just had to pull off a hat trick and try out the new tower and sound system. You've gotta love northern California; where else can you snowboard in the morning and wakeboard in the afternoon?

Well, as of tonight, the boat's safely ensconced in the shop for the winter, but we're looking forward to spring. Mom, Jeannie, and sister, Abra know to bundle up. I'm guessing Evan's not far behind.

We've got a new tower, speakers, amp and a bunch of Tige friends. Once the water gets BACK up to 52 degrees we'll be back out there (Evan at least). Until then, thanks again toTigeblue for setting up the Reunion and to Tige, Capital Water Sports, Lightning Wakeboard Towers and Accessories, and Arc Audio. Its great having these guys looking out for you, worthy Pimps that they are.

Just to share the love, if anybody in NorCal wants a tower, the Metcraft's your's for the asking. Its just as you see above. Let me know.

That rocks. Congrats, that tower looks really good on that boat, much better than the metcrap. Thanks for the pics.

I hope I can make it to the Northern Ca. Tige Reunion now that I have a boat and am up in Northern Ca. Hopefully my little truck can pull my boat up Hwy 80 if its a Rollins Lake next year .

You did very good. It sounds to me like CWS did you a great job in helping you with your tire and your gel coat repairs. The tower looks great and the speakers highlight it very well. I am sure the ARC Audio amp makes those speakers rock hard.

Nice! My boat is almost exactly identical. I put new white stickers on it this summer to replace the brown/tan ones like you have-otherwise they're twins!
I still need the Perfect Pass, that's next summer. Sure wish I could just win one though like you did!!!
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
