Killer Deal on Polks!

I got this email from Crutchfield this morning and buried in the ads i found these; Polk MMC 650 6.5" 2-way speakers, $69.99! These are $150 a pair generally so the price is great, not to mention free shipping! I bought three pair @ 209.97 total. This deal is better than the buy 1, get 1 half off deals plus you get a warrenty. Anyone else need any? I said stationary, but I meant they are attached to the mid-bass cone, and not removable to be mounted remotely. They do swivel.

I have these in my boat. I think theyre pretty darn good myself. Had wetsounds in the old one.

Why buy polk instead of wetsounds? Maybe your doing your own system and dont wanna spend the extra money like when people buy Kicker KMT6's for the their tower to get some sound out to the rider and spend the money they saved over wetsounds on gas to get better.

How do you like those speakers?? My neighbor wants me to do a system in his boat like mine, but of course, he doesn't want to spend the money I did on all wetsounds. Are those in the same league? Would he be happy with those after using my WS as reference speakers?

I'm going to be honest here so watch out it may rub some the wrong way, i can't hear any difference between the two in the marine environment. The Polks are crystal clear and reproduce as accurate or better than speakers twice their price. I know some have bought the wetsounds and they are nice looking and sounding. I was going to buy them when they had B-stock but lagged.

That's exactly what I wanted to know, thank you. I think I'll just tell him to nab some of those if he can find them for a deal. I'm a bit of a sound quality snob where he is not--he just wants VOLUME.

can these be used as tower speakers or just in the boat? I do not have any tower speakers and would love some but cannot afford wet sounds.....
