    fresh air exhaust

I was thinking of putting a fresh air exhaust on my 20v this winter and was wondering about the installation. If i read the instructions on the website right you have to drill some holes in the hull. Does anyone know if modifying the hull of the tige nullifies the lifetime warranty?

There is no drilling into the hull. Only place you might have to drill is the the platform or platform supports
    Let it be!!!

        Butch;
Do yourself a favor. Before you accually install the Fresh Air system, lay out all the parts, and pre read the dorections. Surfdad suggested this to me, and I foud it saved me a lot of time. This way, you can have everything allready figured out in your head, and all you have to do is install. The toughest part for me was the installation of the support bars / tube that attach to the swim deck. Make sure you pre fit these before you cut them to size.
Please don't be offended by my recomendations. You may be an ace mechanic for all I know. Just wanted to share my expierience when I installed mine.

        P.S. You will LOVE it!!

Thanks in advance for the great advice .

I am installing after I get order using the January $100.00 off special.

Order by 03-Jan and get delivery by mid March 09 and get $100 off.

Is it worth getting it plated or is black OK? It is either under water under the platform or removed when put in garage so I am thinking save those $$$ for the WS-420 later!

I just put the black on mine and it looks fine. Remeber to follow the instruction. I had to take mine on and off 3 times because I missed 1 step. Just happen to one of the important one. The all thread rods need to be inseted in the holes before you bolt to the platform. You can't get them in afterwards. It wasn't bad to install, I am just very picky about doing thing right and so they look good.

mines black. The powder coating is peeling from the inside. Not worth the effort to take off and send back. No one sees it in the water.

So I then put the threaded rod in upside down so that you do NOT have to remove the swimstep to take them off. The bolt you turn is between the mounting rod and the swimstep. There is about 1/2 inch in there for the bolt and rod.

We probably will use the platform quick release kit because I will have to disconnect when I put in garage. At least from what I have been told I expect that to be the case. The FAE tube extends past taps plate and even though I have some spare room I am pessimistic and am thinking the FAE will extend too far past the taps plate.

I figure between the tower, the platform and the FAE I will spend about 15 minutes taking things off /down or putting things back up/together every time I take the boat in and out of garage. Since the FAE tube is bound to get dinged why spend the extra money to look at chipped plating.

I will have to look into that. I was hoping maybe to use the boat this wkend and then take the platform off. I will check it out.

                          Thanks

Mines shiney and plated.......*bling bling* Actually when I ordered mine I didn't have a choice, just got what they sent.

As everyone has stated, lay everything out first, I had an issue with the bolts Dr. Mann sent and needed a different set......measure twice and cut once.
