hmmmmm, ive driven both the 22Ve and Rz2, and would have to say that the performance and handling is almost identical, but the nod goes to the Ve.........the porpoise nose edges out the RZ for a slightly more comfortable ride

I haven't ridden in the 22Ve but the 20V and the 24Ve. Maybe I should get with the dealer and have him take me out on a 22Ve.

As for the porpose nose edge, my 24Ve does ride better than the RZ. I will totally admit that not because it's a porpose nose either. The weight of both the boats is within 200 lbs.

I believe the added surface area of the Rz's pickle fork results in the bow slapping the waves and riding over them were as the Ve's will slice through the wave. I say again, it's only a small difference in ride.

I am a big fan of the Z1 because of what you get for your money. I do agree that the bow can get a little tight w/ 2 or more up front, so how about a 2010 Rz0. A 20' picklefork w/ all the same lines as the Rz2 and Rz4. Here in the south 20' boats do alright. An Rz0 priced $10k below the X2 would be awesome! DGuts you listening?

I do like the lines of the Z1 a lot. Sharp looking ride. I like it more than the current V series, although I really like the lines of the V series, minus the new gel/sticker package. I don't like it at all. I'd love to see a revamp of the 22i. A Z2i could bring back some of us who really like D-drives but would by a V just because of the lack of innovation that the D's have suffered. I love driving/riding in the Bu 21XTi from a layout/comfort standpoint. Something like that in a 22' Tige with in floor ballast and an FAE? That would be dope.

I'm not a huge fan of the Z1 styling. It may look better on a much larger boat though. Maybe a 26' boat!? I'd really, really like to see a small cuddy integrated into a true watersports boat. I would buy that. (forget the X-80 and its 100k+ price tag) I almost need 2 boats to fullfill my wants. My wife and I would love to be able to overnight or to comfortably go to Lake Michigan, but we also won't give up the tow-sports. We're kinda screwed on one of our "wants."

I don't see it happening, but you asked.....
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

My buddy with an 06 22Ve wanted exactly that. Loves to boat camp and loves to surf = screwed.

Although the Z1 has a wider beam and is a foot longer some of the length added on appears lost to the transom convenience center and it also appears to have smaller storage lockers aft as compared to the 20V.

Comparing the bow of a Z1 to a 20V you don't get much more room and when comparing the standard options vs additional options I may be mistaken but I think the 20V has the edge here.

I like the lines of the Z1 better and it's beam but to me the 20V fits our needs and storage requirements in a 21 foot garage. when not in use I prefer to have the boat garaged when not in use.

If I get the 2 foot bug again I would look closely at the RZ2 and the 22VE. The RZ Series bow areas are nice but they kind of remind me of the old tri-hull and deckboat designs of yesteryear. Based on the various comments in the forums a series of test rides in rough and calm water would be needed by me. I like the spacious bow area of the RZ's but tend to like the lines of the VE series. We seldom go out with more than 6-8 people so seating capacity is only an issue of comfort.

One item I would like to see as an option would be a bucket seat on the observer side for the 22 foot and larger Tige boats. Like many things in boats that is just a personal preference. We had twin buckets in our previous boat and really like them for seating when cruising or skiing. I think Mailubu has twin buckets but I liked the 20V overall. just my

That pad is the biggest joke that I have ever seen. I love my full sun deck. Just keep your boat clean and be careful and there is no need for a walkthrough.

How so? A little qualification (explanation) of your dislikes is better then just a "That pad is the biggest joke" statement.
