glad house is ok. Pool and ashes are a pain in the butt. Last year took me a 7 days to get my sisters pool all cleaned up after the ashes. Wish you all the best

Jeffe, I didn't know you lived in the area also. You have your hands full! How is your home?

Gman, I forgot about you were in the area also. Thanks for the update. The freeways and alternate roads were a mess.

Coach, at least the smoke isn't down this way. Enjoy what you can. I'm sure it is difficult not knowing.

Let's hope with the daylight they can get a hold on this fire quickly. The air drops are insane! I think they have every air vehicle in existence on this fire.

            Sunday morning update:
This morning is clear skies in Yorba Linda except for a few small hot spots. I went toward Chicks this morning and looked at Hidden Hills and saw a small fire working its way up toward a house. Saw a few hot spots (smoke) along the 91 fwy and in Anaheim Hills. As far as I know all the stores in SAVI RANCH are o.k. The issue right now is in Diamond Bar/Brea/57fwy area. From the house I at times could see heavy smoke.

Thanks for the update, sounds like things are turning for the better in some areas, but not with out a huge lose already.

I hope for your sake and that of others that they can get the fire contained and that you and your families stay safe. Insurance can rebuild a house but a life is a different matter.

Be safe.g-money,gman,Coach, Jeffe69Bug and others I may have missed.

Its about 4:20pm. The winds have died down completely to the point that the air is still and leaves are not moving. Since the breeze is gone, the air is now getting thicker with smoke and burn smell. Almost can not see the hills like we normally do and did this morning.

Besides the smoke everything is OK & we didnt have to move the horses. The police came by with a horse hauler that held like 20 horses & they told us to wait til the last minute.

Earlier I talked about my friends work truck and his parents 6,000 + sqft house in Hidden Ridge in Yorba Linda...we weren't sure at first if it was their house because they were all out of town & there were only rumors...than we saw the picture on the news.

x 2. Glad to hear all is OK for you.
The hills of CA are beautiful and scenic but they also would scare the heck out of me.

Now that is crazy close! I'm sorry for his loss.

I saw it first hand last year in the San Diego Fallbrook fire. My son and I helped some of the homeowners sift through what was left and clean up the site. It was sad and changed how I look at the importance of things. One of those life adjustments. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
