My parents have been evacuated from Anaheim Hills, a friends parents house went up in flames off of Hidden Ridge in Yorba Linda, I believe the owners of Gibson Exhaust house burned down off of of La Palma & Camino De Bryant and now were on our way to my wifes parents who live off of Lakeview take the horses somewhere safe.

What a day!!!

We were just in Huntington Beach and the sky was black from smoke.

Glad to hear everyone is safe. This thing could keep getting worse, so hang in there.

I grew up in San Diego County and the Santa Ana winds always were a factor during the fire season.
Hope everyone escapes this one.

Not only do I have family in the area...I live in the area.

For those of you that know the area, I went up to Lakeview and Bastanchury and its a mess. I was about 2 blocks away form the fire on the hill with the homes below and wind blowing in direction of houses. The sky was black and red. They were bringing up more fire trucks at about 8:00pm. The water dropping has stopped. There is a assisted living facility just down the hill and the road was lined with amubulances moving those in need. Nick took some pictures of the red sky from the roof of the house this evening and hopefully will post them.

My wifes grandma lives in that assisted living place and we got her out earlier this evening.

They live off of Lakeview & Buena Vista on some horse property. There are 5 horses & a mini horse, were waiting to see if we need to evac the horses??? Hopefully not

How close is all of this to the Nixon birthplace home? My sister has a house right around the corner from there and they are currently in Hawaii.

It is north of the Nixon Library. I have 3 players with burned houses and many more with the flames coming close. I hear the winds are suppose to pick up tonight. This **** is crazy. I am coming down to SC tonight Team Allen. I have a house by the DMV I am staying at tonight.

I left Ontario a little after 1pm It took me over 5hrs to get home to Yorba Linda. For folks familiar with the area the 91 was closed, 57 closed, 60 was a mess and had to go all the way to Hacienda Blvd, over the top and take Beach to Commonwealth and work my way back to Yorba Linda. House is o.k. Lots of smoke and ashes. Will check pool in the AM. I'm sure it will need cleaning
