As soon as the weather clears I will pull out garage and post them. When I brought it home yesterday it was raining and we have snow fluries today. Hopefully next weekend it will be clear and I can get better shots from outside..
The tower has 4 55 watt lights, two pointing aft and two to the bow and are wired to the dash toggle that allows you to select bow or aft but not both at same time.
Since we do a little boarding and a lot more slalom skiing at this point I elected to have 1 wakeboard rack and 1 ski rack. If I want to change it to a surf rack or second board rack later it can be done.
Here is what I can get from the garage at this point.
I took a picture of the bow and gunwale mounts to show that they cover the original e-series mounting holes. It uses different holes and does not run the wiring thru the tower where it mounts to the fiberglass.
To lower you loosen the racks so they can pivot, and remove the billet mount handles and collapse the scissor billets 2-3 inches at a time. Lowering is really easy. Putiing back up is somewhat harder but still a lot easier than the e-series is with having to hold tower up while you had to put the billet in place.Last edited by MoneyPity; 11-08-2009, 06:59 AM.

It turns out that there are 8 bolts used in the tower construction as pivot points. Sampson recommended that I check those bolts and make sure that they were not over tightened and that loctite was used. They also suggested that I make sure lithium grease be used at all pivot points.
At their suggestion I examined the bolts on one side of the tower and they were all over torqued and no grease at pivot's. I was ready to discuss with my dealer who seemed to have charged too much time installing and not getting things right.
Before I did that I talked again with Samson Sports about getting a copy of the install instructions so I could see how th dealer could miss the items above.
To the defense of Reeds and before I ran off with my famous temper I talked with Samson.. It appeared to me that it may be very easy to misinterpret the pivot point instructions and CIPA mirror mounting issue. The manual looked as if it had transparent printing
It turns out that there are no printed instructions that ship with or can be emailed/faxed regarding how to install the Razor on the 20V.
Per Sampson, normally either an experienced dealer installs the tower, or like ragboy did, take the boat if possible to Samson Sports for them to install. Washington State is a little far for me to haul it for a tower install even at $2.05 a gallon now.
So without instructions Reeds did a great job in putting the puzzle together.
The tweaking that needs to be done is minor and I will do if my garage temp is 50 degrees or more so the loctite can set. It is only about an hours time and a couple of minutes for the mirror.
When I asked Samson about the documentation they were honest and indicated that because they install the majority of their towers or have experienced dealers do it with periodic calls to the lead installer for help and advice that they never got around to creating them.
So to Reeds Marine in Wisconsin, you did a great job with the limited info at hand. To Sampson Sports I still think the Razor and Switchblades are great towers but you may want to explain to the direct buyer why the local installer really should talk to your lead installer at Sampson. Thanks to Scott, Mike and the whole Samson crew for getting the tower built and shipped so fast. IMO the tower looks great. The only out of proportion item is the monster of a CIPA mirror. On the little 20V it is almost as wide as the windshield but I will be able to see the rider unless they catch monster air.
I am looking forward to next season. Going under low bridges on a couple of the lakes I use will be much easier and not be avoided now with a tower that is not a PITA.
Sorry for the long winded hijacked threadLast edited by MoneyPity; 11-19-2008, 06:10 PM.

Sorry about font size. I don't remember changing it. I am sure you can make it bigger if needed.....
Again I apologize but the operator and computer are not working correctly. New meds for head have me in trouble controlling head.
I put font back to default on post 18. hope it works.Last edited by MoneyPity; 11-19-2008, 06:12 PM.

Implementing the changes Samson recommended, the tower goes back up much easier than when I first got it. It still is a tad heavy because of speakers but is easier then e-series by a long shot.:
They had me use lockwashers on the 6 affected pivot points. They had me add loctite to the button bolts and when tightening only tighten until the lock washer was flattened. This reduces temsion on pivot points and between the lock washers and the loc-tite keeps them along with the washer tension on the button bolts.

My profile has a couple of more internal garage shots one with a 40 year old Obrien that was laying around in ski rack. in one of these pictures you can just make out the red tip.
As you can see it is not up as high as Tige Bimini but at 5'9" I can walk under. Talll would have to duck but is ok for my family which is 6foot tall and shorter. Bimini goes up in about 3-4 minutes. I still need to lower mirror an inch or so.

Listing said for PRo-60's and they were terrible so we are getting ones from Wetsounds to Fit Pro-60
We are using those as munchie bags to carry munchies to boat.
