Well I dont know anything about the boat. But its looks to be in great condition. How many hours does it have?

But Stateamind is awesome and will really take care of you. They delivered our boat while we were on vacation at Lake Norfork.

I don't know the hours. They are supposed to be getting me some more details and better pics, because I live 3hrs. away.

I just bought a 1995 2000 SLM Comp and have been out on the water a handful of times in the last two months...here's what I can tell you about my boat in comparison to my parents 20 ft I/O (Fourwinns)

My boat has a hell of a lot more power to get anyone out of the water and cruises at 35 mph all day (as long as the water is smooth). The wake for skiing is freaking amazing, for wake boarding at 20-23 mph the wake is really small (I don't have any sacs thou). Like Razman stated earlier they sit really low in the water and the bow actually slopes downward making it easy to take on water.

As I learned the rudder is loaded...which means that the boat will always try to pull to the right. I learned this is what a lot of comp ski boats do to ensure there is no slack in the cable. So if you children/wife will be driving the boat make sure they know of this.

I haven't been out in white capped conditions, but have been in fairly choppy conditions, and let me tell you it is a rough ride...I believe all these older flat bottom ski boats have the same issues. My parents I/O obviously cuts way better through choppy water, and also sits higher so no waves/wakes will come over.

Granted I have a close bow, the boat is by no means roomy. Its perfect with 4 people total, I would definitely not put more that 6 on my boat. With an open bow I would say 5-6 people would be a good number to have aboard.

Also check the allowable weight that you can put in the boat...I believe mine is pretty low, so I cannot legally have a bunch of Fat SACs and people. And again the boat already sits low enough in the water.

I paid $8k out the door for mine, 500 hours, engine looked brand new. Interior is in great condition, I couldn't find any soft spots on the deck. Hull is in good condition, no large nicks or scratches. The trailer has new wheel bearings and all the lights work. I am very happy with my purchase, as it is paid for 100%. The only downside I have is I do wish the wake was larger for wakeboarding.

See if they will include any equipment or even give you 50% off anything (and buy from them, it will be cheaper and you are going to have to buy them anyways):
Cover, Bimini top, anchor, ropes, life vests, bumpers, safety equipment. Cause it all adds up.

Sorry for the giant post above, but also see if it has TAPS, if it does you are set. The TAPS system is essentially a trimming or wake plate allows you to adjust how your boat plains, making a larger wake for wakeboarding, or smaller for skiing/cruising in the matter of seconds. The TAPS came around in 1995...my boat doesn't have it, but I am going to look into seeing if a dealer can install one. This is the perfect solution, because you will not have the additional weight of the SACs all day long adding weight and taking up room. You also don't have to fill up and drain your SACs (10 minutes or so).

If you slalom ski this is the boat that will give you years of service with almost no wake to speak of.
If you wakeboard buying this boat would be like shooting yourself in the foot.
Sorry if I offended anyone with a similar boat but it was built for one purpose and one purpose only................Slalom................

With just a few thousand more you could put yourself in a nice v drive with room for all your freinds and family.

Well, Dom's boat is a direct drive and not v-drive...but I understand that you can weight the 21i's to make very good wakeboard and surf wakes...and their slalom wake is better than a v-drive.

Dom's 03 has a convex V hull unlike that flat bottom 97. It is geared towards wakeboarding but can still do slalom if you must.

                          I was bored...

Here is a perfect wakeboard boat for under 15K, actually looks like under 12K. VDrive and open bow.

Exactly. The one you were considering wouldn't make a very good wakeboard boat. Excellent for slalom, but not wakeboard.

I bought a boat similar to the one you were considering, and soon after found myself wanting something alot more capable. Just didn't live up to expectations.
