              Yes, we went to Belews. Water was really warm. Small chill when you first get in but didn't last 5 seconds. Had short wetsuits on, it was colder riding then in the water. Get some nice long runs in yesterday. We may go out again soon if you are interested.

                I have a pair of wetsuit booties when the water get to cold, may help w/ the cold feet.

                  I have booties. Dont like them because I cant feel the board. But thanks for the advice.

                    I haven't used them yet surfing. I used them for skiing and wakeboarding. Wasn't cold enough yesterday to try.

                      I have wetsuit boots I use for diving, but I don't think I would like wearing them while surfing. Definately agree that you would be unable to feel the board and it seems that the sole, eventhough it is thin, would limit your control with the board.

                            That's what they are. Here I thought I had something to keep my feet from freezing. Bummer.

                              51 is a bit cold. I trunk it until the water temp or air temp hits 50. Our rule of thumb is that if the combined air and water is above 100, it's surfable (with a dry suit).

                              Yesterday we had 66 air and 61 water.

                                so exactly where on the Potomac is that? I will be at my parents in Annapolis for thanksgiving week, figured I might try to ride, I guess the south river might be my best bet.
