    New Tige...Finally!

After nearly a year getting all my ducks in a row, I finally got my new boat. It's actually not what we were looking for originally. We were going to order a 20V from the factory and take delivery in the spring. I went over the numbers with my local dealer and I just didn't feel good about the price.
I kept looking around and kept coming back to this '07 RZ2. It was my wife's favorite of all of them. That's good enough, RIGHT? It was a couple of thousand more than the 20V, so much bigger and LOADED. I has 9 hours on it and they used it as a demo a few times. So it's not perfect. I has a scratch on the transom to the right of the Tige sticker and the swim platform is scratched up a bit. I guess that will keep me from freaking out the first time I scratch it myself! It also has a strange spider crack between the dash and the windshield. Has anybody seen that?
It obviously has the full 3 year warranty, which is huge. Also, the passenger seat right below the glove box slides around and won't stay on when in tow. I can sit on it and it shifts around. Has anyone had similar problems? How did you fix it?
    Here it is....

Sweet Boat! I love the color schema. You might need to replace the hydraulic arm for the seat.

    Not sure about the crack.
If its not fun, Why do it?

Do you mean the seat you sit on or the upright portion of the seat? There is not a hydraulic arm on the part your butt sits on.

I think you mean the part your butt sits on.

      Beautiful boat! Congratulations!
      Be excellent to one another.

The part your butt sits on. The hydraulic arm that goes to the storage access works great. Has anyone put velcro down or some kind of snaps? It seems weird that it slides around like that.

You are probably missing the small block mounted on the bottom of the seat that keeps it snug. If you need a pic of mine I will get it for you Mon.

              Thanks Billy,

I would love to see the pick of it. I was hoping it would be something simple.

              Thanks!

The spyder type crack is most probably a stress crack. Kind of strange at its loacation but maybe not. Will they fix it for you?

The spider crack can be fixed by the dealer under the gelcoat warranty. That is a one year warranty on that.

The seat back below the glove box does rise when I tow also. I used Velcro on the seat back and the gelcoat to make sure it doesn't lift. Now sure why Tige didn't think of that at the beginning or realize that they had an issue with it but from my understanding, they have fixed that issue with the 2009's.

da. Just to make sure we're talking about the same seat; it's the part that you sit on, not the part that swings up to allow access into that huge storage area. Not the seat [I]back[I]. The seat butt. How have they fixed that in the '09's?

Does your door swing to the side or upward?

My 05 would swing to the side, so it opened with trailering all the time.

The 09 I have seen opened upward and has a gas shock on it. I highly doubt it could come open when traveling.

If Tige is listening, they need to put a longer shock on it, because the door swings up to about parallel with the floor, and only a midget could then look inside. If the door swung up higher, then you could access the compartment a lot easier. It looks like there is no reason the hinge cannot swing up higher. I don't know if they were anticipating that a person would want to be able to access the glove box and the compartment underneath at the same time, or what. But if I get my 09, I will adjust the shock for that (it will probably require the lower mount to be lower on the wall, but that is pretty easy to fix).
                              Be excellent to one another.
