My 05 would swing to the side, so it opened with trailering all the time.

The 09 I have seen opened upward and has a gas shock on it. I highly doubt it could come open when traveling.

If Tige is listening, they need to put a longer shock on it, because the door swings up to about parallel with the floor, and only a midget could then look inside. If the door swung up higher, then you could access the compartment a lot easier. It looks like there is no reason the hinge cannot swing up higher. I don't know if they were anticipating that a person would want to be able to access the glove box and the compartment underneath at the same time, or what. But if I get my 09, I will adjust the shock for that (it will probably require the lower mount to be lower on the wall, but that is pretty easy to fix).
The door swings up and is in fine working order. It's the seat bottom that slides around when being sat on and flies off when being trailered.

I will have to climb into mine. I wonder if they have a rubber/plastic piece on the bottom. That piece allows it to "snap" into place... Will have to climb into the boat at 8 PM my time.. So, in an hour I will get you the answer...

Yes, I was talking about the back but now I see what you are talking about. The interesting part is that the seat you are talking about gets put under the seat back.

I really appreciate the effort on a Saturday nite! Not at all necessary, but thanks. It does go under the vertical door/storage access, but when I put my feet on the floor and scoot my butt toward the drivers seat the seat in question slides around. Also, even though it goes under the vertical door/storage access, I guess it might be loose enough for the wind to catch underneath it and cause it to lift and fly around in the cockpit while in tow.

        Thanks again for checking

If you lift the seat bottom up do you see grey rectangular blocks screwed to the seat bottom? If not you need them, if so you need to adjust them.

Exactly. I just checked mine and I have two of these on my seat butt cushion.

I don't have those blocks. There's nothing on the bottom of the seat. I guess I should start making a warranty list?

Yes, the sooner the better. It might help if you found another RZ2 to compare it with.

Congrats on the the RZ! That is quite a difference between the 20v and the RZ2 and for a few grand more it is worth it. I saw that one on boattrader.com and loved it, I really like the pacific & black together it is my favorite two colors together.

The crack is most likely a stress crack. It should be covered under warranty still, that or tell the dealer to fix it before selling it to you. Fixing them is no big deal.

I had been looking nearly everyday on Boattrader and saw this one awhile back. It's the EXACT color scheme we were looking for. And for just a few grand more...why not???
