Carbon Handle Pros/Cons

There have been a lot of bad things said about the handle, and I personally did not like It very much either.
Cons:
-If you drop the handle and It hits your board, alot of times the carbon fiber will cheap or ever your board.
-The grip has been said to be very slippery.
-The handle has been said not to last very long.
Pros:
-It is light.
-Some people think It makes handle passes easier.

If your looking for handles, I'd take a look at the Accurate Temet handle. It is stiff like the carbon fiber, but It is soft, so basically It is almost the same as the carbon fiber handle, except It's soft, and probably wont chip or break easily. Also, the grip is alot thicker and more supportive.www.dallaswakeboarding.com

I think a little silicone sealer type glue should remedy that.
The super thin ropes are easy to knot,, hard to unknot.
We're pretty good in taking care of our stuff so it's held up well.
I believe we paid almost $200+ for the handle and rope,, and that's a big drink of water, I hope to not have that expense again for awhile.www.battlesangel.com

I bought a Vortex Carbon by Straightline early this past summer. The handle is very light, which is nice. But, after only one summer the grip is already starting to peel. I also agree with the others that the handle feels a little slippery. The rope is really stiff but tends to tangle easy so you have to be careful with it. Overall, I would not say it's worth the $119 price tag, especially since it's coming apart after only one season of weekend riding.-Tip

In response to Tip's post... I havent had any problems with the grip coming off (same SL kamen Vortex), but the SOB chips like you wouldnt believe. I've had it hit my board a couple of times, and even my toe (YEEEEEOOOWWW!). However, I do like the way the rigid triangle frame feels.Freude am Fahren.
