    hehe Crap... Carp. Same difference....

Sounds like you have the same problem as here in the midwest, only ours jump at the boat. In our usual river, the kaskaski, they did the same thing. They began finding them in Lake Carlyle, which means that got through the dam that feeds the river. They are also trying to keep them out of the Great lakes as they are heading up the illinois river as well.

They are bad for the ecosystem as well. They reproduce rapidly and consome most of the resources.

I think is is about time UT does something about that lake and get to get it cleaned up. The first big step is to get rid of all the crap carp fish or a good portion of them. They should just poison it off and put in some good fish like trout and salmon kokonii (don't know if I spelled it correct or not) in the lake. I am not sure the kokonii will survive there though.

And by the way MOKI and OWN our water just hit 65 down here. Time to get out the dry suit. Oh that is right it was that way at the end of August first of September for you guys.

I have seen a picture of tall using dry suit on Quail Lake. He posted the picture of it here a couple of years ago.

Thanks for the offer Lovin, we might take you up on the offer and get away from the come one of this days.

You and Tall are always welcome to ride with us when you come up north. We'll give you a pull at our lovely mud lake.

I love Utah lake. When I lived in Sandy my favorite days on the lake were when the wind was blowing at 40 mph out of the south. I would hop on the sea doo and ride. Jump the waves going out of AF harbor, surf them coming back in. Most times I was the only one out on the water, I would do that over and over again. It was a blast. I've been in St. George for nine years and I still miss those days on Utah Lake.

Up here on the Snake River they have a carp bow shoot every year. Serious fun watching a 30 lb carp try to swim with an arrow in its butt. After the shoot they take the hundreds of lbs of fish and grind it up at the compost heap & sell it to the farmers for fertilizer.

I can't imagine 5 million pounds of fish spread on fields for fertilizer....can you imagine how the odor would be for the surrounding residents?

As kids we used go around the shores and club them. Also they do process them before spreading on the feilds I would imagine.
