Yes, we do here on Lake Austin. It turns out they eat the Hydrilla (duck weed) that has infested the lake.

Just import a few Zebra/Quagga mussel . That will clean it up in no time.

So, we are going to pay people to catch carp...in order to save the Suckerfish. Then what will they do with 5 million pounds of carp?
              Be excellent to one another.

Export it to Japan. That would help our economy.

Are you saying Hydrilla is the same as duckweed? Or that carp eat both Hydrilla and duckweed? It is two different type of algae

Believe it or not, but lots of people in the midwest, where I am originally from, smoke carp. It tastes good if done right....if you can get over the fact you're eating crap...I mean carp!

I'm just saying they refer to it often as duck weed. I'm not saying it's correct. We Hydrilla.

They have tried to send it to Africa or some 3rd world country, but they said no to crap, I meant carp.

No one wants 5 million pounds of carp. I still don't know what they are doing with all that crap.

Feed 'em to penguins, pelicans, and sea lions.

Seriously, flying carp cause lots of injuries.

Selfishly, I have mixed emotions about the proposal. While it would be nice to have clearer water, that also means that more people will start to use the lake and I like having it to all myself, EKS and Kona.

Can I still come down once in a while? Carp or no carp?
