SWIM PLATFORM QUESTION

I loved the size of the platform on our '04 22i, it was one of the selling points and it was easy to remove (teak). Now we have the RZ2 and the platform is one of the only things I do not like about it is the Fiberglass platform and the size of it however I understand that it goes with the lines of the boat. I have not removed it yet but being able to is a diffenite plus.I'm on a boat man. I got my flippy floppies....

I have an 06 22Ve with the fiberglass removable platform. We've never removed the platform from the boat but as others have said, I like having the ability to if necessary. The size is great, it is used as a general hangout spot when we are just floating on the lake. One BIG suggestion to Tige would be to put Gator Grip on all the platforms. I liked the look of the original black mat with the e's all over but the black ends up transfering onto the boat from people's feet. That and the GG is much cooler temerature-wise.

Kind of off topic but... I winterized my boat this past weekend and left my set of Gear Wrenches on the swim platform (has the "e's" for grip on it) without knowing it and then drove the 7 miles to my storage unit on the highway at 70 mph and got to the storage and the wrenches were still sitting on the platform! Now that's what I call "grip"!

We use it for hanging out at the sandbar or any time we are swimming in the deeper reservoir lake. We store in our garage so every time we come back from a trip it is the first thing done to prep the boat to get in the garage. It would be neat if Tige comes up with a retrofit kit that allows you to fold it but with 2 peeps it is easy enough to take off and put back on.

I have a 24V. I love the size. I remove my platform for the winter and push the boat all the way to the back for more storage in front for the winter. When my son was home we took it off everytime we put it in the garage so he could fit his car in front of the boat. I don't think I would have a boat without a removable platform. It's great to have the option for more room if needed. I thought I would never need more room in my garage, but find myself finding more things to put in there all the time, everyone needs more toys, RIGHT???My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.
