Contrary to that, used boats are still selling as me being a smaller dealer sell a half dozen or so a month. Now this kind of boat is slower right now than others due to time of year, I am selling bay boats, pontoon and deck boats very well right now. I see alot of boats each month and the auctions are still quite high as boats last week were bringing about 85-90% of nada trade-in (dealer only auctions). Compared to most other '08 RZ4's at $65K and up this one will sell as the market isn't going to drop $20K. What are the mfr's going to do?? The mfr's do need to have a price adjustment but it isn't going to be that much. I haven't pushed this boat much, only here and to a couple others but will be in Orlando tomorrow and will put it out to the locals there too as I know this site has limited exposure.

Auctions? What auctions? There isn't a place where the marina's can take all their inventory and unload it like the car dealers. For the most part all boat dealers have is the internet.

Not true. I attend 4 boat only auctions each month that are dealer only sales and each range from 125-175 boats per month. Some months more. There are actually quite a few of them around the country. Where are you spenchey?

            Deal

Is this TigeOwners?? Reading all the posts from goboatingfl here I thought I was on a QVC site or EBay or at some used car auction. I can understand wanting to tell TigeOwners about a deal, maybe once, but this is blatant spam. Maybe if you "buy it today" he'll throw in a Ginsu knife set ... "Oh, wait! And there's more! If you order right now we'll throw in this .... worth $$$" !! . Goboatingfl: we get the idea. I'm sure you're making a profit if you sell it. Now go put it on Ebay or somewhere.

                That's a little harsh, don't you think?

I see completely where you are coming from.

Here is why I think this is different: This is not just some ordinary classified ad. This is a smokin' deal. This boat retails for 25K more than he is asking, new. I am glad he shared it. If it weren't so far away and so blue, I might be all over it. And the fact it looks like it stayed outside uncovered in a Hurricane.

In the past i have been the first to call guys out on bogus threads disguised as something else. The title says what the thread is about.

If you don't want to see a boat for sale, then look at the headline of the thread and don't click on it. He did not try to disguise what the thread was about.

I think it is worthy of staying in the general discussion.

It is all good, I actually like to read about those deals!

It might have been a little harsh but the guy has been a member for 3 weeks and gets on here to bash what I felt could be a good opportunity for someone who can't spend $65-80K for this boat and to one who doesn't mind putting some work getting it back looking good. So for being harsh, my apologies, I just felt this was a good place to offer it and didn't see the post worthy of being slammed. Most would just buy the boat and do the pushups, then put it on here for $60K.

North west Iowa. My dear has said his biggest problem is that the boat industry does not have an auction like the auto dealers do. Unless you're going to a "junk sale" not a franchise sponsored auction.

My reference to harsh was the criticism being placed on you by 720 not by your post. I hope that you don't misunderstand me. I just thought that his comments towards your posting of this thread were a little over the top. It's not a big deal, if someone doesn't like a thread then don't read it.

I can vouch for the boat auctions as well, my uncle regularly attends a huge one in the Houston area, I think Manheim Auctions owns it. Our local auto auction also runs about 20-30 boats weekly at the end of the auto auction. That poor boat was ABUSED! My 3 year old 22v used 99.9% in salt water doesn't show any sign of abuse like that thing.

I go to the car auction in Minnesota and they run a few boats through too, but 20-30 i'm guessing they are mostly junk. My dealer has been saying that he just can't take a good chunk of inventory to the auction. I've never seen anything like a tige,mc, or bu go through. All the boats i've seen are junk. This is also a Manheim auction.
