I have noticed a bit of cavitation, rarely, when weighted this way, I wonder if the bigger prop, with more bite would also help that.

I thought it had to do with the pitch, curious what this 14.5 would do

I looked up your prop on wakeside, it is SMALLER in diameter than stock, 13.25 vs 13.5, unless I am wrong. The prop he suggests is 1" larger in diameter than stock, and 1.25 larger than yours. He says it would get better fuel economy, waiting to hear from him.

I'm with Rag about the bow weight. The one boat that is heralded has having a long wake is the Enzo, but the problem is that the lip forward to about 10-12 feet is soft and rounded. If RJ is faced with a contest behind the Enzo, he'll need to be able to boost in a short pocket. Actually shorter than what he has behind your Tige. Most boats that have a decent crisp lip only have a useable pocket length around 15 feet or so.

That will also test his use of the quad. Most quads like lots of room to generate speed. Typically in contests you won't have that. RJ has the potential to become one of the stars of the sport, just based upon his progression in the last year. I think some equipment changes and your work on the wake will put him in contention.

5500', maybe why I burn more fuel with the dif prop than what acme is saying

At that altitude, you will need a different prop then most while trying to reach the same goal.

                    Ragboy, what's your normal altitude?

You got to remember, I run another 1000# in the back in addition to what you guys are running with, the bow weight helps with the shaping and length of the wave. ( on my 24 ve anyways) The front of my wave is rounded also but very hard, not hard to boost off of. I contribute this to the weight and speed. We run at 11-12.6 depending on how much weight. Some of the biggest waves I have seen from my boat is when we are loaded down with 4000-5000# of ballast and people which doesnt happen very often.

Thanks. I don't know how far he will get, but my goal is to just keep him hooked, along with the rest of my family. It is so great to not be doing baseball and other stuff like that. I like those things, but nothing beats practicing in the boat.

                        Oroville is 700-900 ft.

Yep, you and bentone would NOT want the same prop even with the same boat and similar ballast, that's the difference in the ACME recommendations

damn chpthril, nothing slides by you does it? You def got a point there on altitude, I'm still curious if I have a smaller prop than stock, I was under the impression that only the pitch of the prop was different.

Going down in diameter will help the engine wind up easier when at higher altitude I believe. Going down in pitch always helps with holeshot and brings up RPM's.

I think its awesome to see you and your family as such a tight unit as you guys are. I hope I have that kind of bond with my kids when they get older. Even with alot of sports like football, baseball, basketball, the family bonding time is not like it is on the boat surfin. Don't get me wrong, I grew up playing all these sports, but it just seems like its more teamwork verses being more personal with the family and friends. You see alot of broken homes these days and it wreaks havoc on everybody around the situation. I know that this whole boating experience has brought my family closer together. We (wife and I) used to be so caught up into our own thing its easy to forget that family time. Now with the little ones, it is even more important. As far as pics, not many this summer, was with the family every weekend doing our little thing. Thanks TIGE.

sorry for the rant, Rag's getting me all sentimental.....back to the thread
