First post on this forum, here goes:
I joined this forum just so I could see the pics of this thread but I still can't see any of Ragboys' pics. I'm especially interested in those of page 3, the in progress and finished products. Do these pics no longer exist on the post or am I missing a setting or something?

This thread is 9 years old, most forum admins remove the photos from really old posts to save room on server drives.
What are you looking to do with your RZ4? I would start a whole new thread in General Discussion there is a ton of RZ owners here.My life's journey is not ending up looking pretty, its sliding in broadside, used up, worn out, screaming "What a Ride"

I'm looking to reduce the wave face wash coming from the platform on my 2011 RZ4 and am thinking of cutting my deck or building a new one from scratch (fibreglass, AL, steel even?) so I was hoping to see the pics posted is why I was asking. I guess the old thread is the cause but that's okay.
Any advice here guys?

Are you running listed or evenly weighted with a surf system?
The swim step dragging is a common issue, there are a few fixes that are less extreme then cutting or re-designing a whole new platformMy life's journey is not ending up looking pretty, its sliding in broadside, used up, worn out, screaming "What a Ride"

I think the new wave shapers also will divert the water away from the platform on the non-surfside. Might not be a bad idea to try a DIY suckgate or one of the many commercial versions available now. It would also let you run more weight and the biggest challenge with the RZ4 is getting enough weight in it to sink it enough.
I cut my teak platform down but if you have fiberglass, I would start with a suck gate and see if you get lucky.Mods: MLA BIG Ballast System (1800+ Custom sacs, 2 500 W705 sacs under bow), Duffy Surf Flap Mod, Trimmed Swim Deck, Top-Mount Starter
