    velvet drive noise

Transmission whine's in neutral and at low trolling RPM's. noise disappears once moving at higher speed. At around 4000 RPM's I can here and feel vibration and when I pull the throttle back to lower RPM quickly theirs a definite Rumbling grinding type noise from the transmission. The motor is mounted perfectly straight .The shaft and the prop is not damaged.
The motor was previously out of align enough to shake the pss shaft seal and break the graphite on the shaft seal.We realigned everything but the noise is very noticeable. Does anyone have any suggestions? Unfortunately the closest dealer is 1000 miles away.

You did not post where you are from, my closest Tige dealer is a long distance from my house also, whenever I have problems (and can't fix it myself) I have to take it to the local MC dealer. It's only 18 miles away. Don't have any suggestions on your tranny problem (but someone else will for sure), but since you have a geographical problem you might want to consider another inboard dealer to take look at it.

Hi Fast, Located in Prince Albert Saskatchewan Canada. My option at this point is to pull the tranny and send it back to Marine Power they may or may not repair it under warranty but because of some of sh@# I've gone through I don't know if this will solve the problem and it's another big expense to do this. Having no dealer close is a major pain in the a@#.
