    Type of battle wheel?

Hey i'm trying to find out what kind of paddle wheel is on my boat. I have a 2006 22v with a 340 horse GM Vortec. I'm trying to find out if I put on a PP star gazer system on my boat if I will be able to get water temp on the display for the PP system. So if someone can tell me if i'll be able to get water temp on the pp or what kind of paddle wheel I have that would be great.

haha lol just saw that its suppose to be paddle wheel not battle haha wow that was smooth. I bet i made you look though!

Im faily certain that the stock paddle wheel from Tige will defiately be different from the one with PP.

Wont you still have the water temp display from an existing guage?

I thought Star Gazer was GPS based, so no need for paddle wheel for the cruise control. If you have water temp know, you should not loose it, right?

Because you dont have water temp with the Stargazer you can still add it by using the existing one and plugging it into the master module. But this is usually used for upgrading from an older pp system that uses a paddle wheel.

But you should still be able to get the water temp on an existing guage.

PerfectPass uses an Airmar. I posted info on getting replacements on another thread about replacing PerfectPass Paddlewheels.

GPS based cruise controls do not use the paddle wheel but your speedometer does

That's where the problem comes in, the factory speedo is what displays the water temp and it's the speedo that most pull out to make room for the PP head unit. The Op's question, I think, is will he be able to take the water temp signal from the factory Tri-ducer and get it on the new Stargazer PP head unit that will replace the original speedo as there is no real need to 2 speedo's

I dont know what connections Tige uses for their speedo.

Do you have that little accessory panel on yours? I know a couple years did.

On my gauges? I scroll through my hours/water and air temp by hitting a button below the speedo
