    Tige OEM Boat Cover

Looking for an new '01 Tige 21V OEM cover. Where can I get one? From Tige direct?

2001 21V Rider's Edition w/Metcraft tower. Original OEM cover also covered swim platform.

Believe it or not, my cover split horizontally across the bow this morning as I covered the boat. Not even on a seam. Kind of bummed me out! Especially when I see the cost of a new custom fit cover. What really bums me out is the material is as weak as a over-bleached "T" shirt in several places. It's almost as if it dry-rotted even though its NEVER been left wadded up and/or wet. It has always been on the boat, or stretched along the fence to dry.

Any Tige reps out there feeling my pain??? Looking for a little input.

    Thanks,

    Sam

I believe the OEM covers from that time were made by Westland Marine Covers. I had an OEM '03 20i cover, and the manufacturer's label said it was made my Westland. Only difference was the silkscreened Tigé logo on it. Check this link:

You can order from this site...it won't have the logo on it though.

      Hope this helps.

Thanks for the heads up Mike! I'll give'em a try.

Anybody got any experience with non-OEM, after-market covers? Overtons claims to sell a custom fitted cover for the 21V.

Anybody had any similar issues with their cover? Just curious. Not trying to nail anyone. Although, I WAS surprised. My previous boat's cover was 15 years old and still SOLID. No leaks, just faded. Heavy as hell, though!

Yes, I have a 2000 and sat outside all the time in the sun. Split a couple of place. Just sewed it back together and now it is under a carport so it stays dry. Just use the cover to get junk and possible animals out.

I ordered a Westland cover for my 21v. It's pretty nice. I had a local sailshop modify the cover to fit my tower (I have an aftermarket tower).

Mine split last year, but the Texas sun is murder on boat covers. I was glad it lasted as long as it did, 7 years in the weather is good down here.

I'm happy if it lasts 5 years.

Gustav ripped mine last month. I looked at the rankin covers but decided to have a local shop do one for me, due to the negative reports about rankin customer service. The local shop quoted me $1100. I will post some pics when they finish the job.

I doubt the factory can get you a cover, but your dealer can call and check for you, start with them.

Have you gotten a quote for a custom cover? We get all out Nautique covers and biminis done on-site because they dont offer a factory, till 09. They look good and are not much more then the Tige supplied covers. Ask your local dealers who they use for canvas work, and get a couple of estimates.
