My least favorite thing in the world is being in the car! 35 hours is definitely a no-go. I would really like to bring my own boat if we went--that's kinda the point right!? Of course, if Tige wanted to bring one for you, me and Dogbert to share I think we could make that work ok
Sounds good but he did have an RZ4 before.. However, he is unable to disclose the reason's why Tige took it back .
Wake was too big

I can't wait to get back down there, and I was just there last weekend. Stayed in Halls Bay and saw maybe 20 boats all weekend and 10 of those were fisherman.
I have been outta this thread because of the first post, but I guess I should be getting in it.
Here are the wakes for comparison. Ruck and I are both doing stalefish. I have no idea why mine is so weird, that is usually my go to grab(see avatar). Must have been on of those times where I was trying two things at once and it didn't work out. Both are big wakes and take you to any level you want to go to.
Dingleberry's RZ4 - I know it had lots of people but no ballast.
My LSV - 1250 in ballast, wedge, and 4 people
BTW - I will be up at Powell all week next week ot provide a scouting report. I will make sure to send you all some pictures.

Since your response is about wake size in a thread about a lake Powell trip, I guess you are talking about my post? Sorry if I offended and made you feel that you need to defend your ride You had to know it was just a joke because we all know of your situation and you have been very professional and civil in regards to switching back to Malibu. Again, sorry.

Are you saying we can no longer make Bu jokes? That takes all the fun out of it.
(j/k of course)
As for your stalefish, there's a reason why Erik is a pro
(Of course, I can't do a stalefish at all, so )
Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."
Maybe we should invite a select few of the "misfit" boats and let you have a WAKEOFF! And I absolutely mean NO disrespect with "misfit"...all boats will float in my book... as long as the plug's in.

I didn't take any offense and knew it was a joke. It made me think about looking for a the two comparisons. It was kinda interesting to have found both pics in the Lake Mead photo thread. Both are the same size, resolution, water conditions, same grab. I am about the same size as Rick. He was probably riding at 80' and 23MPH and I was probably at 75' and 22.6MPH. Its not often you get so many of the variables the same.
I can tell you what I was doing wrong. I was going down to the board for the grab, instead of bringing the board up to me. I was also "looking where I thought I was going to crash" instead of "looking where I wanted to go".
Would you accept out of towners who are wanting to come, but would be traveling w/o boat?
I have always wanted to go to powell and drool @ the pixs all the time.
I am currently boatless due to growing family and lack of use, but am willing to work for rides.....ask Matt g. I will wipe down boat after ride session and ask dogbert will also bring beer for rides. (thanks to both of them for letting me go with)
