Some manufacturers call things like ballast "std" but are actually an option as they are packaged up with other options, so if you want one thing in that package, you'll probably end up getting the whole package because the dealer will order it that way or, like some builder, they mass-produce their boats and then push the inventory off on the dealers.

My '08 RZ2 was from an individual that had not been registered (boat or trailer) $47,000. Boat,Trailer, factory ballast, stereo with 6 ws speakers, Samson Tower with (4) Samson speakers. I have had to add (2) amps and a 10" kicker sub. It has been a real pain in the arse to get a boat that you are not the first assignment on registered and the trailer is even worse, but I got the boat registered after 6 TPWD forms and notarized signatures. The trailer we hope will be getting handled in a few weeks.
He obviously wanted out. He threw in his hyperlite wakesurf board and hyperlite belmont 140 w/ bindings (that do not fit me). Ropes. Everything.
I was in the right place at the right time. TRUST ME.
I know The Slalom Shop has a 24VE dealer demo on PK Lake that they will take 49,900 for, but it has no ballast and the 320HP engine. (More of a family boat)
Good luck in your shopping. I know there is a sweet '08 RZ2 up in Stillwater, OK at the dealer. I was talking to them about theirs when this deal hit me in the face. I would have been a fool not to buy it, and now I am able to chat with all of you cool guys.
By the way, weather perfect and I am going to have to go out and do some more wakesurfing this afternoon here in North Texas...Fat, Drunk, and Stupid is no way to go thru life.
