    Eagle Scouts

How many people on here are Eagle Scouts?

    I received mine in '95.

I saw mention of this in another thread by SBFAN and it sparked my interest.

2 here as well. Myself in 82 and my boy in 2004. Scouting is a great way to stay young. I also consider some of those boys I was able to lead as my own. Last yeat at the Mead reunion I had 6 of my past scouts along and I hadn't been their leader for 4 years. Great way to build memories for them and us.
My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

I got mine in 94. Best thing ever. In my job interviews 90% of the time the first question was, "What was your eagle project?"

I was a Venture Crew leader and now I am on the Scouting Committee. Scouting wasn't pushed in my family, so I do not have an Eagle, but my two sons will be getting their Eagle soon.

My son Brandon just had his Board of Review 9/11/08. We are currently preparing for his Court of Honor. We ordered the flag from the Capital and are writing the letters to Congressmen and stuff. It is fantastic program that we have benefited greatly from.

We never had much of a scouting program in my area when I was a kid, so I never got it. In my local church congregation, we are aiming to get 20 kids their eagle scout in 2009. That would be a major feat, but it is realistic as well, lots of them right now are Life scouts. So we are pushing it hard, for the reasons you guys have noted above.
                    Be excellent to one another.
