    Tube thread

    Someone had to start one!

I know its been discussed before, but the last time I checked "tower" was ahead on the main page poll.

Whats your opinion on tube puling. Tower, transom, panzy pylon, or do you just show off you guns and hold the rope while driving.

        Transom.

I dislike the non-retractable pylon so much, I am omitting it from our 09 RZ2. Putting extra D-rings above the swim platform instead. I can always add the pylon later if I am reborn as a slalom skier (or tuber ... gack ).

I want some enterprising third party to come up with an aftermarket retractable pylon! Then I would tow a tube from the (non-pansy_ pylon.

And I think Zad0030 started such a contentious thread to get more face time for his spiffy new 2112 ava (great choice btw, Temple of Syrinx is one of the hardest rocking Rush songs in their catalog).

True it wasn't retractable and it wasn't even for the pylon in question

Hey, maybe we can salvage the pylon from the old 21vs. I can use that one for parasailing. (not that I am)

                    Was it retractable?

No, it is extremely over engineered and non retractable. I can pull two tubes and it does not flex at all. It is built the way a tige pylon should be built

I pull from the tower, never had any problems.

PANZY PYLON ALL THE FOR ME 3 seasons and no issues, even pulling other boats. Snapped a tube line last month pulling 2 60" tubes loaded with 2 kids each, one submarined.

Hasn't anyone stubbed their foot, cracked a rib (or worse), or sat down square on that pylon (by accident that is)? It just seems so ... in the way. I have bounced off of several retractable pylons before and that hurt enough ... I do not want to replicate the feat on the pansy pylon of doom.
