Where would you put it? My bilge area is very crowded and small. Right now I put 1 bag under the back seat and 2 - 400# bags to the right of the engine in the walk way.

Yes, but not big enough to put 1000#. That is what I am running to surf. I get a pretty good wake w/ that.

I think you're hosed for surfing anyway, unless you own a behemoth 24' boat. I have to run 400# in my rear locker and at least another 800# on the seats in terms of people/ballast to get my surf wake going. There's no way to fit that in any locker, even on a V-drive.

Its a dual purpose invesment right?

To get rid of those pesky wave runners and ballast. Might also clear a path at the boat ramp too.

I can't complain right now, we get a pretty decent wake right now for us (but we are just learning too) I put about 300# under the back seat and (2) v-drive sacs 400# each ontop of each other on the side of the engine. I don't think I can put anymore weight back there, my rub rail is right at the water line when I do this. The entire platform is underwater until I get going.

If your rub rail is right at the water line, then I don't think that more weight will do much better. Maybe a different distribution of the weight might improve things.

We put a 600 pound bag in the bag storage area on whichever side we are surfing. We also put another 600 pound bag on the surf side corner of the engine cover.

That is why I am interested in the pop bags, so that I can fine tune the weight with those bags strategically placed in the boat.

I will try and post a pic of mine after this weekend.

Try shifting a little more weight up front. It will lengthen your pocket.
