    Surfin!

I got Ragboy's surfboard setup this week so it was off to the chilly water to try it out last night!! What a blast. It was surprisingly easy to get up and stay up. I was literally cutting around the wave in 30 seconds of starting. I still have a lot of work to do to get the wave "surfable" with out the rope. I could get some slack for a short while then I could not keep up with the boat. The sack would not stay on my seats so we had to leave it on the floor in the middle of the boat. I'm convinced though--ballast and a board are FOR SURE on my shopping list now. My otherwise "super athlete" buddy could not get up at all. That kinda made me feel like a rockstar, he's ussually the guy that jumps up right away and is awesome, but not THIS time
We had to go 13mph (who knows if speedo is correct???) to get a decent wave. I have to figure out how to slow that down a bit.
The battery died on the camera but here are some pics.

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Nice pics, welcome to the world of surfing.

Looks like you need a shorter rope, and to slow the boat down a bit. The sweet spot, which allows you to surf without the rope, is alot closer to the back of the boat.

That's actually my tubing rope. I've read threads about not using the wakeboard line so I tied knots in what I thought would be about the right spots for surfing. I was off a bit I'll go buy a "real" rope soon.

I'm a sissy when it comes to cold water. I like HOT HOT HOT. I would guess the water was about 60ish and the air temo was about 70ish. It was a beautiful day yesterday. My buddy went with no suit but he's tougher than I am

Nice, try slowing it down a bit (around 10). The wake will be more washed, but will have more energy for surfing.
