Its that time of year, end of summer. The last few weeks of summer, I take the video camera and tape a lot of stuff. Lately I have really enjoyed watching RJ progress surfing. I still will be doing a Garcia Summer vid, but I did this tonight for fun. Took less than an hour on my mac.

The entire last half of the video is him on the SMED.

I can't remember the model, but its one of the first sony hard disk camcorders, and shoots HD in AVC mode. You just connect cable to your mac, and it pulls the video right in. I will never go back to any type of tape. The picture isn't as good as it should be, I have seen better, but the hard disk is what makes it worth it. I am sure the later models look a bit better.

Funny during that video, did anyone see that jetski use ragboys wake to launch himself? The jetski flew..

Y, if you look at the bottom of the video, right after it happens, I put a title that says WHOA!.

There was nobody out that day, it was right in the huge body of water by the main marina, and these guys kept jumping the wake, they LOVE the surfwake. It doesn't bother me when they are far enough back, especially when the lake is not busy. He did it a few times, and got serious air. The funny thing was that was the biggest, and timed right when RJ got some air on the loogey. The dude flew.

That jetski was much better than others I have seen. I have witnessed them 20 feet behind a boat at Folsom. We were all yelling at the jetskier to stop and eventually stopped the boat and he went away.

the 360 I had video'd on my iphone, horrible quality. He made those attempts on the smed, but its very different, he will have the smed 360 soon. Going to practice on sat morning, hopefully we will tape him doing a 360 and a couple of grab aerials.
