I've towed one older bayliner with battery problems & 1 Malibu that struck the bottom of the river in a power turn while pulling a tube. He folded all 4 blades up like a flower & turned the rudder 45 degrees.
I've never been towed myself but I hope if ever I'm in need that a good samaritan would come to my rescue.

This is a good one. In a how do you like me now kind if way. I purchased my Tige from my brother inlaw last July so he could get a new LSV.Fast forward to Powell this July.We were out on the lake and he broke something in the drive on the BU.The prop shaft was spit out hit the rudder. After we got a tow from a MC back to the house boat I towed him in to Bullfrog with his ex-girlfriend.I cant bring my self to rag him about it to hard.He did make me a smokin deal on the Tige,But I can sure talk smack on here

Once I towed a boat mechanic back to dock. Being mean like I get some times. He was with friends on a boat he was fixing.
I made sure my wave runner rooster tail was filing his boat as much as
        possible.

My towing story is a little infamous in SoCal...We had a head to head test drive set up between Tige and another nameless brand. We were at a local lake and the first company...not Tige...brought out a nice brand new boat and we went through everything the boat could and does do. Very nice boat... So the nice salesman stops the boat to make the last sales pitch to me, my wife, my dad (very analytical engineer type) and a buddy of mine who happened to own the same brand of boat that we were currently riding in. The salesman finishes up his presentation and we all say thanks and get ready to head back to the dock where are going to meet our Tige sales pro.

The poor guy turns the key...and nothing...not even a click...nada...nothing...no noise...no turn...not even the shocked gasp of my wife seeing that this brand new boat wouldn't turn over. The sales guy fools around with a few things...checks the battery connections...nothing. His shop says it will be about an hour before they can have somebody there to tow us back in.

So what do I do...I call our friendly professional Tige salesman who is waiting patiently at the ramp for us to show up and inquire as to whether or not he might be willing to give the poor chap a tow... He does...and I promise both companies that there will be no pictures taken! We thanked the first company sales guy and went out on the Tige test drive.

The rest, as they say, is history. I felt so bad for the guy and stuff happens...it was just a bad ignition switch right from the factory...stuff happens...but we still look back on that whole situation and laugh. Our professional and friendly Tige sales dude was much the gentleman as well...he could have taken great advantage with no downside...but didn't and continued to just talk about the advantages of the boat that we ultimately ended up with.

So that's my one towing experience and I got towed by a Tige!!!

LOL. My wife and I used to look at each other and start with "...this one time at band camp..." all the time when our kids would say "....this one time..."

For the longest time they didn't get the joke and would look at each other very confused. Now they laugh, so they must have seen the movie

Never been towed in the Tige, but ran out of gas in the bass boat once. It is a long way to anywhere when you are just running the trolling motor. The tow was much faster.

                      hehehe.

We play the true/false game with our kids. Jody and I tell the kids stories about our childhood and the kids have to guess whether they are true or false. Every story starts with "One time at band camp..." Thankfully the kids are still oblivious.

I used to get towed in all the time with my old boat, now i've only been towed in twice in two seasons since I bought my tige. The first was in powell and I kept heating up (found debris in the filter for the tranny cooler) the second was my ignition switch totally froze up and wouldn't do anything.

I have been towed twice in a previous boat for clogged fuel line and another time with transmission problems. Twice with my 23v at the first when I kept burning through impellers with a bad housing. I have towed over 10 other boats.

I have been towed in 5 times in my Tiges. 3 times in my 20V. All were impellars. Twice in my 24V, once when the v drive flange bolts backed out and once when the transmission decided to spill its guts. Knock on wood I have been tow free in 06, 07 and 08.

I have towed in all brands of boats for various reasons.

Towed on Maiden voyage becuase cooling hoses popped off and filled the bilge with 175* water. Bilge pump got clogged with carpet because it had not screen and blew up. The engine died and we were stranded on the lake of the ozarks with 175* standing water.

Luckily our relative was nearby with his cobalt and he towed us to a dock where we got it pumped out.
