    Question for Arizona Tige Owners

There is a good chance I will be moving to Tempe in the next 120 days. Can you please tell about the boating scene near Tempe. What are the the closest bodies of water? What is the season for wakeboarding? Are there boat storage ware houses and what do they cost per month?
    Thanks

Tempe is fairly far south, so if you can handle cool water it should be year round.
If not then it will be what we have in LA. May to Nov.
I go to AZ in the summer, but not that part. I go to Mojave (Bullhead).
Tige, it's a way of life!

      There are:

-4 lakes within an hour of metro Phoenix, all are crowded from 8AM Sat. to 4PM Sunday. (Pleasant, Bartlett, Saguaro, Canyon)
-2 lakes within 2 hours, which are larger and less crowded. (Apache, Roosevelt)
-Colorado River is 3 hours away.

You can easily see them all with Google Maps. Roosevelt, Apache, Canyon, Saguaro are all on the Salt River seperated by dams.

There is tons of storage. It will run you about $90-$130 a month. There are some places you can find in for less in shady areas of town.

BTW - Phoenix has the highest boats per capita

From Tempe you are about 60mins from Saguaro and 90 minutes from Canyon. Both are small lakes that you want to stay away from on the weekends. However there is a small group of us that go to Canyon on Mondays at 5 am to 10am and we rotate who takes thier boat out. The lake is always Glass and there is nobody on the lake..Very Sweet...You are 2 hours from my favorite which is Roosevelt Lake.....we have a house boat there and the lake is just far enough that it never seems crowded and the weather is nice....Apache Lake is also nice but a pain to get to because the dirt roads that you have to go on to get there. We wakeboard all the way into October......All of lakes have dry docking stations...Let me know when you hit tempe and we will go....
