Hi, I have a 2004 22V. It is a terrific boat! My only real complaint is that the vinyl on the boat has worn very poorly. The vinyl in the cockpit and bow of the boat (mainly the cushions but also seatbacks) has become very discolored. Both the grey and white vinyl now has a brownish hue. I can get it out using Exquisite vinyl cleaner (the best...I have tried literally everything) but comes back very quickly. This has now been compounded by the stitching on the cockpit and bow seat cushions breaking apart.
I am going to have to have at least the seat cushions redone and may end up having everything redone. Have a few questions which I hope you can help me with:
> Does anybody know what makes of vinyl I should be looking for the shop to redo it with? Are there any types I should stay away from?
> Can a good boat canvas/vinyl shop color and grain match the new vinyl with the existing seatbacks if I just had the seats redone? Do I have to have everything redone for the boat to look right?
> Does anybody know what these types of jobs should cost? Either the whole boat or just the seats?
> I am up on the eastern shore in Maryland...near Chestertown. Can anyone recommend any good shops to do this work in Maryland, Delaware, southeastern Pennsylvania or southern New Jersey?
Would welcome any thoughts and suggestions you may have!
Thank you!!!!
