No worries for me, I'm up in Austin, but I have a number of employees and friends down in Houston.

Monday's gonna be fun as we try and get our Corporate HQ bootstrapped.

I flew out Thursday night before Ike and the airport was pretty crazy. My prayer & thoughts for all the people affected.

The Report I heard from my brother in Houston was the eye passed right over them and they are without power. Good news!

Cool sight Memphis, thanks. That flooding is amazing.

Yeah, it looks like Houston fared pretty well. South of Houston, along I-45, it's a totally different story. It's a real mess.

My mother is doing okay. The biggest problem she has so far is that there isn't any electricity and the water pressure is very, very low. She has been told to boil all water and her stove is electric. However, she does have bottled water for now. Tomorrow, she will have a generator that her neighbor and her will use so the fridgerator and freezer will keep stuff from going bad.

My mother says thanks for all the prayers.

Sounds like everyone is doing well for the most part. Great News.

The eye went to the East of us by about 20 miles. We had 40-60 wind with big gusts and about 10" of rain.

We were without power for 5 days. No damage to our property but definitely some trees blow over in my area. Unfortunately it was brutal storm for the coast.

The RZ2 survived. I dropped the tower and put the big shipping cover on it.

We certainly appreciate the prayers down here. This is the first I have been able to get on this site.

I live about 80 miles from the coast and the eye wall went right by us. There are trees down everywhere. Finally got power back on Friday. Lots of houses damaged by falling trees and the insuing rain. In general, we were lucky, no major damage to the house, some of my neighbors were not so lucky. We have been chain sawing trees for about a week now. The other issue has been gas. We were operating on a generator all last week but finding gas was the real chore.

What I was impressed with was how everyone pulled together to help each other out. People were great everywhere you went. No uglyness. The one nice thing about not having power was that no video games or TV for the kids. They were actually out playing in the street like when we were kids. Nice to sit out and get to know your neighbors again also.

The coast by far took the brunt of it. I am sure you have seen the pictures. I have a friend who had a house down on Jamaica beach that no longer is there. The only thing left is the slab.

I consider us very fortunate and thank god every day that we made it throught he storm. I think Ike was worse than people thought it was going to be.

                            Glad you're ok!

It looks like the recovery effort is going pretty well, all things considered.

Heck, it must be going well because the media got bored with it very quickly.

Too bad, because the real story is how people are pulling together.

Yeah, what a contrast to Katrina on how people pulled together. I know that Katrina was more devastating in regards to life, but I am glad that you are working together and helping each other out.

My mother is still without power to the entire house. But she does report that the neighbors are all talking and trying to get things cleaned up.

Nice to see that everyone is okay from the Tige world so far.
