Fuel flow meter

I have this Lowrance fuel flow meter kit and I never installed it. I tend to fuel from non-metered sources like cans or the tanks on my mh. I probably could not use it to its full potential and I have learned how to interpret my gauge well enough.
It will fit right into a standard small gauge hole or replace a blank if you have one. You could also buy the fuel level sender and it can read that too and put it in place or your stock gauge.

It is new in box and I think I paid almost $200 for it but I would take $125 shipped.

LP - I'm not sure of your exact arrangement (Merc, Marine Power or PCM- I've heard that PCM recirculates gas back to tank so it takes a two meter model to measure flow out and in with the difference being fuel used), but if I can do it, most anyone could. Find the fuel line from the tank to the engine. Find a place where the meter can be installed in the vertical position. Just put the filter ahead of the meter. You can use the simple mesh screen type filter or for a few bucks more go with the spin on fuel/water separator type. You will need a few feet of fuel line, some brass fittings and clamps and you're done. It took more time to mount the gage than anything else.

I love being able to look at the gage and knowing exactly home much gas I've used. I may be a little OCD, but the piece of mind is worth every penny of the cost. And like I mentioned in the explanation with pictures, I have a spare piece of fuel line with the connectors on it so if the meter or filter becomes a problem, I can bypass everything in about 5 minutes. For how cheap it is, I don't understand why Tige or others don't do it from the factory. No more gas gage accuracy complaints.

A quick note for guys with the PCM motor the faria fuel flow meter will not work. My PCM motor has a high pressure fuel pump with a return line to the tank. I had to get a different meter from FLoscan. I was more, but I love it and it works great with the PCM motor.

Does anyone have a recommendation for which of several Floscan models to go with? Any other recommended brands of fuel flow meters that work with PCM?

Was discussing fuel flow meters with Guapo and wanted to bump this thread up. I had a FloScan fuel flow meter (for PCM engine with fuel return) installed last season. And I love it! Strongly recommend one especially given problems with stock gauge.

Calibration was a bit of a pain but was done over several tanks of gas (even during cal it was useful).

my calibration was a real pain..... After 10 tanks I was overshooting by 14% then under shooting by 14% every time. did the math (took out 14%) and I was dead on and have been with in 1% every time

I know this is an old post. I've got an 04 22V with the Merc Mag MPI SKI. I'm trying to find a fuel meter to replace the fuel gauge. The Faria Flow Manager is no longer available. Same thing with the Lowrance sensor.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
