I also love the teak, but would rather have the new 09 platform. The bad part is that I do know think we are going to get a discount through a group buy.

chpthril mentioned that our best option there would be to go ask our dealers for a good deal.

The Dealer I bought 2 Tiges from, does not sell Tiges any longer. They gave up Tige's and CC because they thought that the BUs would bring them more business. I don't know anyone from the new dealership.

That only weighs 30 pounds? I would have guessed 50 pounds.

Sorry, I was in a phone call as I was typing the post and missed the end of that paragraph.

What I meant to say was:
They gave up Tige's and CC because they thought that the BUs would bring them more business. In there opinion they move up on their sales potential. Even the sales guy said that he would rather have the Tiges over the BUs.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I'll stop trying to do 2 things at once. Work and post.... I'll concentrate on posting...

They use to sell Tiges and Natiques. Now they only have Malibus as inboard options.

if you guys are going to buy these platforms to get a better surf wave I would think twice before pulling the trigger. The square corners on the platform are what is making the annoying riffle in the wave. This is why I think that the ve's make a better wave, they have a rounded corner verses the square. We never could get my buddies z1 to shape up nice like my ve or my buddies rz2. If it were me, I would being playing around with design out of something cheap like pine until you get what you are looking for as far as wave is concerned.

I was on the new RZ2 factory demo boat with no ballast and I assure you the redesign of the deck has corrected that issue. No ballast and one huge surf wave for sure.
