Weldcraft base is $51k, includes hard top. I would prob pay 55-57 or so. I guess that makes up my mind, I can't see myself paying 80+k for this thing. Not to mention the divorce. ;-)

If I find a 24 Select in stock somewhere, I may get cheaper.
Ragboy i could see you getting the 80 grand boat if you were a fishing guild but for weekend outing's thats alot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$ good luck maybe you can find a used aluma weld or jet craft for 30.000

Hey Ragboy - you got any room in your home-schooling for dave?

Seriously the only thing with home schooling is the lack of socialization. Kids learn far more in organized education than reading, writing and rythmatic.

Do these boats also have auto bilge pumps just in case? Also, have you considered a used boat? I imagine that the market for used boats is good across the board...

If you meet my kids, the last thing you will think, is they need to be more socialized. I have also seen that, but it is not a product of homeschooling.

They have 2 auto bilge pumps in them.

I have considered a used boat, but the type of boat I am looking for is tough. If I want a 21 foot boat, I can def find one used.

What I understand is that those that are home schooled usually excel in test scores and often finish programs (as mandated by the state) more quickly. I also understand though that kids in an organized school setting are amidst a wider set of personalities and that necessitates/requires kids to learn to cope across a wider spectrum of personalities ie. they learn adjustment skills.

I am in no way insinuating anything about your kids nor do I have any idea how yours or any kids will do as adults... there are certainly lots of factors that play into it! I imagine the strong family presence that you guys obviously provide will yield benefits far beyond most! I am just looking at simple demographics with a bit of a background in education and psychology and speaking

I agree with Ragboy on this. They don't need any more socializing and they are doing just fine.

Especially after that "sexy beast" comment made on the movie.

There is no question I have seen kids homeschooled that become "socially retarded". But that is not a product of homeschooling, it is a product of the environment, or lack of one, that the parents provide.

I pulled my kids from public schools not for religious reasons or the like, but because the education they were getting sucked, and I knew I could do a better job managing it.
