No, he's got secret ambitions for taking over the world. You'd better start reproducing fast

I admire the man for what he's doing, but I still think he's crazy After 2, we figured we were out of parents.

I have 5 boys. They live with me 50% of the time.. I couldn't handle 100% like Ragboy.. After 3 children, there really isn't a huge difference when it comes to care...

I don't know about that. We also have taken charge of their education. I got tired of dealing with teachers and oversized classrooms. In certain instances my kids weren't learning fundamentals in english and math, the teachers said they agreed and would review, and always let it slip through the cracks. Private schools were not better, they put emphasis on other stuff, and had young inexperienced teachers. So we have used homeschool and independent study charter school. So we manage and teach them all also.

Not to mention every thing you do is massive. Grocery shopping is almost funny. We can't have a car, or boat, or whatever that won't hold all of us. A trip to the movies is a bill, easy. Its a def commitment, but I wouldn't trade it.

do you hit the bottom when going up and down rapids? if so, does it matter, ie are the boats designed for it?

you don't want to hit bottom, but it is possible to hit rocks and such, but that is why they have .25" aluminum bottoms. If you do, you bang out the dent and go again.

Well, I finally got a call back from Hells Canyon Marine. The base price of the 24' Granite is $72,340 and that doesn't even include the hard top. Configured like I would want would be mid 80s. The Weldcraft would be in mid 50s, which is still alot, but I can't spend more on this boat then my tige, that would just feel weird.

There is no question though, the HCM is one bad a$$ boat.

They are actually lighter than fiberglass boats of that size. The 24 is rated at 3800lbs.

You guys are like my wife ragboy you just can't say no to those kids that need a good home and a stable up bringing. They did not chose there lots in life and they certainly need a lot more peps like you guys to help show the kids what it means to be a member of a family that is strong and thriving. I think it is great you have such a large family. I know I don't have the temperament for it but maybe some day I will. It takes special peps to do what you have done.

So, I got the quote from HCM, BASE is $72k. Doesn't even include hard top, I would be paying somewhere like mid 80s.

Weldcraft base is $51k, includes hard top. I would prob pay 55-57 or so. I guess that makes up my mind, I can't see myself paying 80+k for this thing. Not to mention the divorce. ;-)

If I find a 24 Select in stock somewhere, I may get cheaper.
