I was just refering to jet boats in general. For instance, pulling a tube behind a jetboat will use almost twice as much gas compared to pulling a tube (heaven forbid) with your Tige.
Welded aluminum boats are fantastic for durability. I know several people who have hit big rocks going down rapids but just keep on going. After their season is over they'll just get those dents hammered out and they're back in business.
Riveted boats however can't seem to take the same punishment. I was in one that sunk a couple of years ago on the Clearwater river. We read the river wrong, hit a couple of rocks and before we knew it the boat was on the bottom of the river. Good thing the bottom was only 18 inches down.

Weldcraft & Duckworth boats are manufactured by the same company in the same location.

        is that thing an outboard?

THE BAD PART OF THE OUTBOARD IS THAT THE JET TAKES HALF THE POWER BUT IF YOU WERE TO TAKE OFF THE JET AND PUT THE PROP BACK ON IT WOULD HAVE FULL POWER

My buddy's got a Boice Response that was made when Boice still owned the company. Things went to hell after he sold the company, apparently. Boice himself is now at Edge Marine. As the videos suggest, the Boice is a full-on river runner and not just a shallow water cruiser. My buddy's boat is 20' but with a huge beam. He's, conversely, got too many boats and would like to sell the Boise. Let me know if you're interested.

Those edge boats are very nice. They seem to be more of a wakeboard/river boat cross. I am looking for full on river/whitewater boat.

I REALLY like those hells canyon marine boats, but they seem to be a smaller company, and boats are hardcore. Prob more hardcore than I am going to need.

So far it seems like the weldcraft boat is about what I want. It seems to be a great whitewater shallow river boat, and I LOVE that deck on the back that they have with the rails, which HCM also has.

Thanks for all the feedback and other links to sites, I have been looking at all of them.

The Boise Response is a full-on river/whitewater boat, no tower or stick-on graphics to be found and furnished for speed. My buddy's may be smaller than you've identified, but it's gonna be lighter as well.

If you end up coming before December we could go fishing for big steelhead in your new boat.
