Most of the guys think the MC dealer is as stupid as I do. The guy from Chicago would love me to come out for a test drive. Go figure.
    hahaha

Funny how things turn out sometimes.

Da.bell - What do you mean more rocker? Meaning more convex than a Ve's hull? If so, this explains a lot.

I see an X-35 at my lake and it catches my eye every time. The 45 is too big and has wake problems, the Star has a perfect wake, but is too small in the cabin. But I can't get past that frig and the MC stigma. And I am sure the price tag is pretty large too.

The Ve/RZ hulls have more rocker then the V hull.

And the RZ has more rocker than the Ve. This is what I was told by Tige (Lanny to be more percise).

However, the convex hull is patented by Tige. If they change it (add more rocker in this case), don't they need another patent?

I guess I am on a mission to find out the Patent number on the RZ compared to the Ve series now.

Depends on the patent, in many cases the specifics are vague. My guess is they patented the combination of a convex V hull with TAPS to move the attitude of the boat along the rocker.

I just remembered my demo experience after reading the WW thread. Hear it is in chronological order.

-Previous owner of a 2005 Malibu.
-Test drove a 2006 LSV committed to buy it.
-Some stuff happened, bought a RZ4, blah blah blah.....
-Went back to my Malibu dealer said I wanted a LSV. They took me out on a demo! I couldn't say no, eventhough I already knew everything about the boat, had no reason to demo it. We just went out for the afternoon and had fun. Did a few powerturns for the heck of it. It was a blastee.

Demo is the most important part of making an educated decision. Just goes to prove that MC owners buy it just because they can.

I'd go from a 24V to a RZ2 without a doubt. The picklefork makes up for a lot of the lost room as well as the new RZ models interior being wider. Not the beam, but it must be less padding as it is noticeably wider compared to my 24V.

That is what I am thinking here. I was in one of the first RZ2's made at the first fall Lake Mead reunion....when it was called the cold water reunion, and I noticed the roominess was exceptional. CHP and I test drove it together. Fond memories there...

I just found out that the owner of my old boat just bought a PAIR OF 485'S AND A PAIR OF PRO 80'S for the tower. I think he will have no shortage of noise. WOW! He was thinking threesome, but the center of the tower is structured that a 485 can't be centered, so he just bought another 485! He will be throwing down some serious heat!

From what I can tell, the side of a RZ2 are push out a little further than the 22Ve.

Well, I guess you are going to lose that stereo comp at the reunion. And to lose to your old boat. PRICELESS!!!!
