amp question for tim at wetsounds

Any suggestions on wetsound amps for my system, triple x sub, threesome on the tower, six cabin speakers? thnx.

3-Some on the tower=SYN 6.

One of the design functions we did with this amp is design it to run the 3-Some as well as in boats and subs or in boats and towers etc...It has high pass on chs 1 to 4 and high pass or low pass on chs 5/6. So this one amp can do a ton of different set ups.

So for the 3-Some. it will run in 3 ch high pass mode. 200x2 and 600x1. 200 to each pro 80 and 600 to the 485.

It also has sum mono capability. So you hit the switch and it sums the signal to sum mono for the single 485 etc..and also RCA summing. So you just put in one set of RCA's and it will go to all chs. So easy install.

It has a diagram to run the 3-Some.

For the in boats and XXX sub= SYN6.

You can run the 3 pairs of in boats and the XXX sub all off the SYN6. Run one pair of in boats off chs 1-2, the other 2 pairs off chs 3-4. Then run the sub in series as a 4 ohm load and bridged mono low pass on chs 5-6. 60x2, 155x2 and 600 x1.

The XXX can handle 1000 watts rms. But if you build the ported box in the XXX manual. 600 watts is good power for it.

So 2 SYN6 will do the entire system.

If you opt for more power. You can run the in boats off a SYN4. And use a SYN1 for the XXX in parallel 1 ohm load giving it 1000 watts.

Option 1: Two SYN6
Option 2: SYN6, SYN4 and SYN1.

If i was putting this setup together, I would deff. go with the Syn6 for the cabins, Syn4 for the cabins, and the Syn1 for the W/S-XXX

When I am ready for the tower (read as have the $) I am considering a 485.

I will take the SYN 1,4,and 6 when you get around to your order, I am also wondering if I should wait and see what this new ballast system is all about on the 09's, I hear it may be awhile for the quick fill/empty on the internal system. I'm liking the looks of the rz with the new tower. So when are you going to get one of these puppies to your shop? I need a test ride before committing you know.

By the way, you suck, you should love the fact that this is a business trip, right? I wish I could make it. Any time you feel the need for a skip day you let me know and will be there. talk soon....
