I took Daniel and TWS up on seeing the new RZ2 and test drive. I got to the dealership right at 1 pm today when Charlie and Ben were pulling in. All the dealer people were going thru the boat. I talked to Ben and Charlie for a few minutes. Very nice people. Unfortuneately they all then went into a meeting and I got a call to go back to work so I did not get to go to the lake with them. Here are a few pics, Had a little battery life in the camera but not much,

The tower on the RZ2 is about 6'1" from the floor. Charlie says the RZ4 is about 6'3" due to the deeper freeboard. Tower is pretty easy to fold down .
There is now a molded seatbase instead of a pedestal.

The single exhaust is based on the exaust feeding into a water box to muffle the sound and a single outlet from the box(ok I might have screwed this part up. I am not an engineer). Ben says the boat is extremely quiet.

Regarding the ballast, they are not quite ready yet to release the gate valve version. Ballast is in the floor and filled the old fashioned way.

The contour of the dash is going to change a little but not much,

Overall the fit, finish, interior has much improved since my 2005. I think they have come a long way.

The windshield does not go as far back on the 09's as the previous years. On the RZ2 the new tower might not fit on the 08's if anyone was curious.

I told Charlie and Ben they could leave the boat and I would take it to the Lake Mead reunion. They said that I was quite the giver but they refused my offer . I thought I was helping . Oh Well.

I would have liked to go to the lake to get a ride but that will be another time

One of the reasons I bought the 05 Tige was how deep the bow seats were. That is the only thing I really do not care about in the RZ line is how shallow the seats in the bow are. They still seem deeper than the MC. The VE series still has the deeper seats. Since my kids are adults now it does not concern me as much

I made a Tige Owners group on facebook and Ben joined it. He mentioned something to his dad. Then a few weeks later I got a message from Ben saying his dad would like to thank me for making the group and he wanted to know my address so he could send me some stuff.

A few days later a package with a hat, shirt, stickers and some other stuff. That was a very cool thing of them to do. They are some very nice guy.
